How it works

How InboundX works — from ping to paid

Six steps, from the publisher’s ping to the ledger. The homepage shows the same path in three steps. This page is the full record. It is not a response-time guarantee.

01 — The call

Ping to bill

  1. 01 — Ping

A publisher asks for a bid.

A caller is on the line, so the publisher's platform pings yours. Their key tells you who is asking and for which campaign. Every ping is kept, including the ones you turn down.

Kept: every ping · the answer · the reason

  2. 02 — Reserve

Routing holds one buyer and writes down why.

Each buyer on the campaign is checked: online, inside their hours, taking this state, funded. The one idle longest is held for ten seconds. A call that arrives without a hold is refused before anyone answers.

Kept: each buyer · the check they failed · the hold

  3. 03 — Ring

It rings in a browser tab.

No desk phone and nothing to install. The platform answers the caller, starts a two-channel recording and transfers the call to the buyer's browser, which picks up on its own. Nobody clicks Accept.

Kept: both legs · the recording · who hung up first

  4. 04 — Talk

    Every word, as it's said.

Caller and buyer are transcribed live on separate channels, word by word, with timings. The buyer reads along. You can listen in on any call from the console.

Kept: both channels · every word · its timing

  5. 05 — Qualify

    Billed on what was said.

Each campaign carries its own criteria. A grader reads the live transcript, and once every criterion that gates the charge is met, the call is billable. That happens mid-call, while the buyer is still talking.

After hangup the full transcript is graded again, which can add a charge the live pass missed but never removes one.

Kept: each verdict · the words behind it · confidence

  6. 06 — Bill

    The money moves once.

The buyer's prepaid wallet is charged once and the caller's number unlocks on their screen. After hangup the publisher's earning is recorded and the conversion postback fires. Refunds are new ledger rows, never edits.

Kept: the charge · the earning · the postback

02 — Around the call

What sits beside the six steps

The call is the middle of the job. Listen-in, recordings, disputes, and the publisher portal are already part of the same workspace. Who sees what is on the homepage.

  • Listen in

Hear any live call from the console. Hang up or pause the buyer from the same screen.

  • Recordings

Two channels per call, stored privately, kept for a year by default.

  • Call logs

Timeline, transcript, recording, summary and billing on one page, with a printable evidence pack.

  • Disputes

Buyers dispute a charge inside the window you set, and you decide. An approval credits the wallet and blocks the caller.

  • Publisher portal

Calls, pings with reasons, earnings, files and team, for every publisher you work with.

  • Dedicated numbers

Numbers assigned to a publisher and campaign route through the same checks as a ping.

  • Audit log

Every change and who made it, including platform support acting on your behalf.

03 — Isolation

One workspace, sealed

Each workspace is sealed from the others at the database level, and your buyers, publishers, and calls are only visible inside yours.

Inside the workspace, owners and managers see the floor. Buyers see their calls, not the publisher, not other buyers, and not what you earn. Publishers see their traffic and the reasons, not your price and not your headcount.

The category page is white-label pay-per-call. Pay-per-call software describes the same product. What the plan costs is on Pricing.

04 — Questions

Asked about the path

01What is a ping?
A ping is a publisher asking whether your campaign will take a caller who is already on the line. Every ping is kept, with the answer and the reason, including the ones you turn down.
02What does a no-bid look like to a publisher?
A no-bid comes back with a reason. They do not get a hold, and they do not get an address to send the call to. A ping that is accepted returns a hold and an address. Publishers can dry-run the integration before they send real traffic.
03When does billing fire on a qualified call?
Once, at the moment every criterion that gates the charge is met. That can be mid-call, while the buyer is still talking. Campaigns set to bill on duration charge at the end of the call instead.
04What is re-grade after hangup?
After hangup the full transcript is graded again. That pass can add a charge the live pass missed. It never removes a charge.
05Do buyers install software?
No. They go online in a browser tab after a short device check, and calls pick up on their own. There's no desk phone, no softphone and nothing to install.
